Koei Tecmo Holdings, together with its subsidiaries, operates as an entertainment company in Japan, North America, Europe, Asia, and internationally. The company operates through Entertainment, Amusement, and Real Estate segments.
They're probably most known for their videogames, which have a long history of many famous franchises.
End of March
Special website for shareholders to buy their games at a 40% discount. Physical games only, no digital codes are available. You can see the current list of products here.
The games are split into new and old releases, and you can buy a certain number of each. New titles are considered those released after the shareholder meeting of that fiscal year, anything else is an old release.
100 shares- 1 new title, 3 older titles
500 shares- 2 new titles, 4 older titles
1,000 shares- 3 new titles, 5 older titles
5,000 shares- 4 new titles, 10 older titles
For newer titles the pricing seems to be very good, I did some searching and couldn't find any shops selling it for less, so it's unlikely you'll find better than 40% for recent or upcoming releases unless the game is a bomb. For older titles it's less of a sure thing, sometimes it's still the cheaper option but I found places like Amazon selling the old games for less, and especially so if you don't mind buying used copies.
Of course, you really have to like Koei Tecmo games to get use out of this, but if you are a fan of their games then you'll be very happy!
Looks like they've done quite well post-COVID!
