The Sailor Pen Co., Ltd. manufactures and sells writing instruments worldwide. The company offers fountain pens, ballpoint pens, mechanical pencils, multi-function pens, consumable goods, dip pen/ pen inks, brush pens, marking pens, ink, correction fluid, gift items, and other items, as well as operates an online store under the Sailor Shop name. It also manufactures and sells automatic take-out robots for plastic injection molded products; secondary and tertiary process of plastic injection molding products, stock equipment, factory automation systems for plastic injection molding factories, and made-to-order equipment; handling robots for semiconductors, metal stamps, etc.; and prizes for the pachinko industry.

Product, most likely pens. This is an unadvertised perk! It is very possible that you may not receive anything, but at least for the last few years they have sent these out to shareholders.

Requirements

Unknown, but 100 shares have been enough in the past. It is rumored that you may have to vote in the shareholder's meeting in order to qualify, you can easily do it online once you receive the details so you should just do it to be safe.

Comment

If you're a fan of pens then getting these will be a nice bonus every year. There is a bit of a risk in that they can stop sending the pens out in the future, although the low share price makes it a bit easier to accept it. Hopefully someday they'll make the perk official!
