Koshidaka Holdings Co., Ltd. engages in the karaoke business in Japan and internationally. It operates Karaoke Manekineko business, as well as One Kara, a solo karaoke specialty store; and Maneki no Yu, hot spring bath facilities. The company is also involved in the real estate management business, such as subleasing operations; and provision of food and beverage services.
By utilizing properties that were originally operating as karaoke bars, Manekineko adopted a "turnkey opening" method that minimized the time and initial costs required to open a store. As a result, they have become one of the largest chains in Japan in terms of the number of stores, and their expansion has been quite swift over the years. Along with that, they aim to be reasonably priced and also have some customer-friendly policies such as allowing them to bring their own food and drinks.
